Winfred Mardell Gammill, 78, of Smithdale, MS, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, MS. Funeral services will be held at O'Zion Baptist Church in Meadville, Ms. Burial will be in the O'Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 5-8 PM at O'Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Winfred was born June 12, 1935 in Meadville MS. He enjoyed taking care of his hunting dogs, fishing, and watching his favorite sports teams, including the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Braves.

Mr. Winfred is preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Bondell Cothren Gammill.

He is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Dorothy McCall Gammill of Smithdale, MS; Daughters: Gwendolyn Shelley and husband Paul of Pearl, MS, Nanette Gammill of Smithdale, MS, Lisa Gammill Shelley and husband Michael of Smithdale, MS; Grandsons: Gabriel Ezell of Smithdale, MS, Chad Shelley of Pearl, MS, Christian Ezell of Meadville, MS, Caleb Ezell of Smithdale, MS; Granddaughters: Carmen Shelley of Smithdale, MS, Hannah Shelley of Smithdale, MS; Great-Grandsons: Slade and Trent Ezell.

Pallbearers include: Gabriel Ezell, Christian Ezell, Caleb Ezell, Chad Shelley, Jay Ezell and M. L. Ezell; Honorary Pallbearers: Donald Orr and Charles Freeman.
