Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Louise Carlock will be on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Leon Wallace and Rev. Dane Hodges will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Carlock, 79, of Bude, MS passed from this life on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Meadville Nursing Home. She was born on October 23, 1938 in Franklin County, MS to Mr. Julius Franklin McAllister and Mrs. Dolly Idell Kirkland McAllister.

She was a lifetime housewife that dedicated her life to raising her children. She ran a day care center for many years, providing a safe, learning, and loving environment for numbers of children. She loved all the children under her care.  She was a faithful member of Siloam Baptist Church for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Julius Franklin McAllister and Mrs. Dolly Idell Kirkland McAllister; husband, Marvin Carlock; granddaughter, Amy Hodges and great-grandson, Jace Barber; sisters, Margie Jones, and Alice Stroud Nixon.

Survivors are her two daughters, Kathy Hodges and husband Randall of Meadville, MS, Lori Barber and husband Jeff of Winnfield, LA; one son, Marvin Clay Carlock and wife Teressa of Florence, MS; grandchildren, Michael Barber and wife, Jamie, Amanda Parker and husband, Dustin, Rachel Graves, Robert Barber, all of Winfield, LA, Dane Hodges and wife Jana of Bogue Chitto, MS; great-grandchildren, Christian Parker, Skylar Parker, Remyngton Parker, Karmyn Graves, Aubry Graves, Eli Hodges, and Emma Hodges.

Pallbearers are Roger Causey, Jeff Barber, Will Causey, Randall Hodges, Rev. Dane Hodges, and Rev. Leon Wallace.

Honorary pallbearer are George Price, Allen McManus, and Kim Ramshur.

The family request memorials be made in her name to the children's playground fund at Siloam Baptist Church, 8031 Hwy. 98 East, Meadville, MS 39653.
