Willie Mae Adams Guimbellot, 99 of Dallas, TX was called home from this life on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Monroe, LA. Mrs. Guimbellot was born at McCall Creek, MS on January 3, 1917 to Mr. Percy Cecil Adams and Mrs. Hazel Eva Cowart Adams.
Memorial and graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Adams-Hegan-Pate Cemetery on Oglesby Road in Meadville, MS.
She married Henry Guimbellot in 1945. As a young lady, Mrs. Guimbellot won the Miss. Adams County beauty pageant and the Miss. Natchez beauty pageant. Winning the Miss Natchez pageant won her a trip to the fair in Dallas, TX. During her visit to the fair she fell in love with the Dallas area and eventually moved there to live.
In later years she moved to Winnsboro to take care of her mother until her death. She then relocated to Monroe, LA to reside in and assisted living apartment where she thought others the art of making and decorating ceramics and was known for baking beautiful birthday cakes for her friends. She was also a very talented seamstress.

Guimbellot is survived by her son, Barry Guimbellot and daughter-in-law, Ruth; sister, Lucille; niece, Carmen Kramer and husband Mike, Dianne Wisner and husband Archie; nephews, Melvin Adams and wife Jackie, and George Allen White along with several great nieces, nephews and her Guardian Angel Tris Lagrone.
