William (Bill) Fredrick Manning Sr. passed from this life on December 9, 2014, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 28, 1920 at Portland, Arkansas. He was the son of William Van Manning and Henrietta Stella Morman Manning. Mr. Manning was retired as a Hardwood Inspector/Salesman with National Hardwood Lumber Association and a member of Meadville United Methodist Church.

Mr. Manning is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mrs. Mildred Inez Manning and sisters, Margie Lynn and Ruby Harkey.

He is survived by his sons, William Fredric Manning Jr. and wife Shirlee Grabko of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Francis Van Manning of Maryville, TN, and his daughter, Ruthie Manning Cochran and husband Bill of Natchez, MS; granddaughter, Ashley Hancock Hammack and husband Casey of Meadville; grandson, Tim Manning; great granddaughters, Madison Manning and Harleigh Hammack.

"Bill'', as his friends called him, loved woodworking and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Elk Lodge of Natchez, MS.

He loved his church and enjoyed working with the "Jolly Elders".

Visitation will be at the Meadville United Methodist Church from 9:00 AM until time of memorial service at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

Burial will follow at the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS.
