Mrs. Wanda Gandy, 71, was called into the presence of the Lord on August 10, 2016 at Brookmanor Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS. Mrs. Gandy was born in Natchez, MS September 14, 1944 to Mr. Allen Hammack and Mrs. Evelyn Seab Hammack.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. The graveside service will follow in the Roxie Cemetery in Roxie, MS. Rev. Phillip Gandy will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Gandy was a resident of Roxie, MS where she is remembered as a long time owner and operator of Hammack's Grocery and Cafe on Main Street.

Mrs. Gandy is preceded in death by her parents, Allen Hammack and Mrs. Evelyn Seab Hammack; husband, Sam Gandy and brother, Richard Hammack.

Survivors are hers sons, Stephen Gandy of Flowood, MS, Jeff Gandy and wife Lisa of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Asher Gandy, Laurel Gandy, Leighton Gandy; brother, Terry Hammack and wife Betty Jean of Meadville, along with a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Wayne Combs, Chris Combs, and Jeremy Johnson.
