Walter L. Costley, 96, of Meadville, MS died Friday, December 7, 2012 at his residence in Meadville, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 1:00 P M until the time of services at 2:00 P M in the chapel at Franklin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Costley was born September 11, 1916 in Meadville, MS. He was the son of Dr. Linfield and Sallie Mullins Costley. He was retired from the U S Army and Armstrong Tire & Rubber of Natchez, MS. He was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Meadville Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Tressa Morris Costley; niece: Lynn M. Hinkle; 1 brother, 4 sisters, and 1 brother-in-law.

Survivors are his nephews: Wiley Louis Wentworth of McCall Creek, MS, Lynn Charles Wentworth of Madison, MS, Dr. Dale Morris and wife Jeannie of LaPlace, LA; nieces: Sara Wentworth Temchin
and husband Jerry of Washington, DC, Nanette Bates McGehee and husband Tom of Natchez, MS, Charlyne Costley of Meadville, MS, and Barbara L. Morris; sister in law: Irene Morris of Columbia, MS; a host of great nieces and nephews; and very special friends: Pam & Tim Buckley and Faye Shaw.
