Funeral services for Mrs. Voncile French Whitehead, 93, of Roxie, MS will be on April 14, 2017, at Roxie Baptist Church in Roxie, MS at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Roxie City Cemetery in Roxie, MS. Rev. Van Windom and Rev. Jamie Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, April 13, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Whitehead, passed from this life on Monday, April 10, 2017, at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Baton Rouge, LA with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 2, 1924 in Hamburg, MS to Mr. Alvie French and Mrs. Ollie Mae Calcote French.

She was faithful to her family and loved them very much. She had a love for her Lord and shared her faith with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alvie and Ollie French; husband, Allan David "A.D." Whitehead along with two sisters, Helen French and Myrtice Fowler.

Survivors are her son, David Glen Whitehead and wife Cindy Gale of Colorado Springs, Co.; grandchildren, Jason G. Whitehead and wife Chantelle, Chad A. Whitehead and wife Kristina, Melissa Parker, Matthew Chase Whitehead, Adam Billen and wife Danah, Joseph Billen and wife Rhonda and David Billen and wife Courtney.
