Mrs. Virginia S. Whittington, 92, was called into the presence of the Lord on November 5, 2015, at Meadville Nursing Home in Meadville, MS. Mrs. Whittington was born at June 27,1923 at Homer, LA to Mr. Paul Smith Sr. and Mrs. Hazel Sanders Smith.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1:00 PM till time of service at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Davis will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Whittington was a lifelong homemaker that dedicated her life to her Savior, her family and her church. She loved to fellowship and talk to her many friends.

Mrs. Whittington is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Paul Smith Sr. and Mrs. Hazel Sanders Smith; husband, Paul Barney Whittington; brothers, Paul Smith Jr., Walter Harold Smith, William Alvis Smith; sisters, Minnie Francis Harp, Pauline Elizabeth McFarland, Ruth Estelle Branlly, Martha Mae Harris, Hazel Anita Martin, and Marion Joan Shirley.

Survivors are daughters, Diane Casto, Carol Sue Maxie, and Vickie Jo Lechler.
