Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ann Smith, 74 of Roxie, MS will be on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Andy McDaniel will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume Friday October 30, 2020 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00. AM.
Mrs. Smith passed from this life on October 27, 2020, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born on July 21, 1946 in Meadville, MS, to Mr. Robert Farrell Sr. and Mrs. Estalena Corban Farrell.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was a lifelong homemaker that was dedicated to her family. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved her flowers in her greenhouse, her dog, Heidi, all her cats and chickens. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert Farrell Sr. and Estalena Corban Farrell and Husband, Alfred Davis "Cry" Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Lynn Smith Perry and husband Rodger of Roxie, MS; sons, Lyle Smith and wife Amy of Roxie, MS, and Lance Smith of Roxie, MS; brothers; Lee Farrell of Roxie, MS, Doug Farrell of Roxie, MS, and Bob Farrell and wife Pat of Roxie, MS; grandchildren, Casey Smith, Bryson Smith, Kinsley Smith, Derek Jones and Adam Perry; two special friends, Bryant Thompson and Ricky Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are Robin Farrell, Anthony Farrell, Jonathan Hodges, Adam Wheeler, Lewis Farrell, and Craig Brumfield.
Honorary pallbearers are Morris Ellis, Michael Petty and Casey Smith.
