Funeral services for Mrs. Virgie Mae Scott will be on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Byrd's Chapel Church of God Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Lance Moak and Rev. Trent Moak will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM.

Mrs. Scott, (65), passed from this life on January 8, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS with her loving family by her side. She was born in Quitman County, MS on November 11, 1952 to Mr. Gerald White and Mrs. Emma Souel White.

Preceding her in death were her parents; infant daughter, Garlena Buitt; brother, Edward White; sisters, Katherine Brewer and Marveline Miles.

Survivors are her husband of 27 years, Glen Scott; daughter, Patty Flemings (Joseph); son, Glen R. Scott; brothers, Wayne Holland (Betty) and John Holland; sisters, Iva Pearl Jones (David), Brenda White (Bobby), Kathy Buitt (Sylvester), and Martha Holland (Tommy); 2 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
