Toni Ann Connelly's Obituary
Mrs. Toni Ann Connelly, age 49, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, MS. Mrs. Connelly was born in Franklin County August 9, 1966 to Mr. Hiram Carlock Jr. and Mrs. Joyce Ann Murray Carlock.
Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and resume Tuesday August 2, 2016 from 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The graveside service will follow in the Midway Cemetery. Rev. Rodney Jones will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Connelly retired in August of 2014 after 26 years of serving with Department of Human Services for the State of Mississippi in Pike, Franklin, Adams, and Jackson Counties. She loved and helped many people experiencing very trying times. She believed that even people in difficult times deserved dignity and respect. During Hurricane Katrina, she supervised a shelter for coastal residents. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and grandmother. Her five grandchildren (Bryce, Maddie, Caiden, Levi, and Landon) were very special to her.
Mrs. Connelly is preceded in death by her father, Hiram Carlock Jr.; step father, Gus Frith; paternal grandparents, Hiram Carlock Sr. and Irene Rollins Carlock; maternal grandparents, E.T. Murray and Evelyn Murray.
Survivors are her husband Paul Connelly of Ocean Springs; daughters, Alexis Sandlin and husband Paul of Scott Air Force Base, IL and Joy Combs of Gautier, MS; mother, Joyce Ann Frith of Meadville, MS; sisters, Evelyn Irene Higgins and husband Mike of Meadville, MS, Linda Darlene Long and husband Roger of Bismarck, ND; brother, Ray Carlock and wife Janet of Brookhaven, MS, along with five grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Corey Jackson, Jordan Jackson, Jacob Long, John Herlihy, Bowmar McGehee and Mark Barrett.
The family request donations be sent to Bude Baptist Church Building fund Bude Baptist Church,
235 Bude Baptist Rd., Bude, MS 39630 or the Gideons International.
