Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Roan Dier will be on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Tom Griffin will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church on Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM.
Mr. Dier, 77, passed from this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS, with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 1, 1941, in Franklin County, MS, to Hugh W. and Addie May Dier. He was a member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church; was a retired logger; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hugh W. and Addie May Dier; sons, Thomas Lavell Dier and Michael Thomas Dier; brothers, G. W. Dier, Tobe Dier, Jessie Dier, and Hugh Dier, Jr.; and sisters, Viola Dier Fos, Donis Dier Dillon, Stella Dier Fenech, and Hester Dier Jackson.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Clarice Wallace Dier; daughters, Teresa Dier Arnone and husband Jerrell of Zachary, LA, and Tammy Dier Griffin and husband Tom of Meadville, MS; son, Roger Dale Dier and wife Pam of Meadville, MS; sisters, Betty Francis Dier Roschkalb and Estelle Dier Alexander; grandchildren, Nicholas Wroten, Justin Arnone, Kimberly Dier Canton, Kayla Dier, Matthew Dier, Abigail Griffin, Joshua Griffin, and Rebekah Griffin; great-grandchildren, Adriana Burnett, Brayden Wroten, Kye Grant, and Garret Arnone; and a host of family and friends.
