Funeral services for Thomas Lynn Chance will be on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Bunkley Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 3:00 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Bunkley Baptist Church on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM. Rev. Josh Scott will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Lynn, 76, of the Bunkley Community, passed from this life on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS. He was born on December 24, 1947 in Shreveport, LA to Mr. Tommy Nathaniel Chance and Mrs. Eleanor Swindle Chance.
Mr. Lynn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was strong in his faith and devoted to his church. Mr. Lynn led music at Bunkley Baptist Church and enjoyed playing guitar and singing with his family. He was a great example to everyone around him. Mr. Lynn was a mentor to many people in our school district, community, and through his work. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, however his true passion was wood working in his shop. He loved to spend time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and the latest light of his life, Ollie. All who encountered Mr. Lynn were truly blessed through his unwavering faith and service to his Lord, Jesus Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Tommy and Eleanor Chance and wife, Charlotte Chance.
Survivors are daughter, Virginia Maxine Chance Mullins; son, Jerry Lynn Chance (Angela); sister, Karen Lee Chance Alexander (Gary); grandchildren, Michael Adam Chance (Angel), Jacey Grace Chance, Olivia Simmone Chance, Nathan Elijah Chance, Arthur Kincaid Mullins (Shelby), Zayne Thomas Mullins and great-grandson, Oliver Graham Mullins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Adam Chance, Nathan Chance, Kin Mullins, Zayne Mullins, Brad Mullins, and Kevin King.
Honorary pallbearers are Andy Dykes, Glenn Shaheen, and the men of Bunkley Baptist Church.
The family requests memorials be made in his name to FC SawDawgs through the Bank of Franklin.
