Mrs. Sylvia Watson Moon Barnett, 73, of Ferriday, LA died Friday, October 25, 2013 at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 3:00 P M until 5:00 P M at First Baptist Church in Natchez, MS and continue on Monday, October 28, 2013, from 9:00 A M until the time of service at 10:00 A M at First Baptist Church of Natchez. Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek, MS. Bro. Doug Broome will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Logan Moon, Taylor Moon, Carl Ellard, Cecil Ellard, Ricky Evans, and Barrett Lackey.

Mrs. Barnett was born August 7, 1940 in New Orleans, LA, to Burnice and Maulene Wright Watson. She was a retired school teacher of Adams County Christian School and Franklin County public school. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchez. She loved her family and her grandchildren were the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are her husband: William "Earl" Ellard of Ferriday, LA; sons: Ricky Moon and wife Cherry, Darryl Moon and wife Nancy, and Tony Moon and wife Brenda all of Ferriday, LA; sister: Jerry Jackson of , TX; grandchildren: Leann Moon Miller and husband Scott, Andy Moon, Derek Moon, Chris Moon, Logan Moon, and Taylor Moon; nieces: Sherian Ann Daniel and Theresa Faye Glenn; and a great nephew: R J Daniel.
