Steve Jones, beloved husband and father, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 25 at the age of 69. He was born on June 14, 1954, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Johnny Lavell Jones and Sybil Jean Ponder Jones.

Steve was known for his fearless ambition and unwavering dedication to his family. After retiring from a 50 year truck driving career, he could be found working with his tractor or riding on his motorcycle. He enjoyed nothing more than grilling for his family on his back porch or camping with his wife and dog. However, nothing brought him more joy than being Pawpaw to his grandchildren and watching them grow up playing together. Steve touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Steve Jones is survived by his wife of 42 years Carol and his daughters Stephanie Ott (Daniel) and Rebecca Jones along with three grandchildren, Grayson Ott, Emma Jean Ott, and Maddox Winstead. Steve will be remembered during a memorial service to celebrate his life on Saturday, December 16 at First Baptist Church of McComb's Family Life Center from 1-3 in the afternoon.
