Stanley Bland Sr. 82, passed from this life on May 19, 2016 at his residence in Lucien, MS. Mr. Bland was born September 21, 1933 in Jefferson County MS to his parents Jodie Wise Bland and Olivia Gill Bland.

Graveside services will be held at Natchez National Cemetery on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 12:30 PM.

Mr. Bland graduated from Washington High School in Washington, MS. He served in the US Army. He worked at Merritt Refrigeration, Armstrong Tire & Rubber, and for the City of Natchez, MS as Electrical Inspector.

Mr. Bland was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert and Bobby, sister Leila Strittman, son Stanley Bland Jr, brothers-in-law Bob Hancock, Wardy Daniels, and Cliff Merritt, and parents-in-law Herman Temple, Dulcie Geter Temple Merritt, and Delcy R Merritt.

Mr. Bland is survived by his wife of 60 years Gloria V.Temple Bland, one daughter Karen Elizabeth "Liz" Davidson and husband Randy W Davidson of Lucien, MS, brothers Jodie Bland and wife Linda, Gillis Bland and wife Delores of Natchez, MS, sister Louise Hancock of Lucien, and Jackie Geter and husband David Lee Geter of Wilkinson county, grandson Rand Davidson and wife Amanda of Gluckstadt, MS, Stan Davidson and wife Sandy of Natchez, MS and Brandon Davidson of Lucien, granddaughter Ann Foster and husband Shaun of Houston, TX, 6 great grand children, and numerous family and friends.
