A graveside service for Sarah Smith Jones will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM. Rev. Millard Moak will officiate the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Sarah Smith Jones, 95, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was born on April 8, 1929, in Monticello, MS to Mr. James Elbert Smith and Mrs. Elsie Mae Robbins Smith.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, dancing, and life in general.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Lovie; brothers, Ned, Jerry, and Ralph; sisters, Kate and Nell; and grandson, Brandon Jones.

Survivors include her sons, James, William (Bill), John, and Ronnie; grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Christopher, Brittany, Jeffery, and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Mason, Emma, Anniston, Camden, and Layton; and a host of family and friends.

Special thanks to Shelton Manor and staff for their wonderful care and for allowing the family to be by her side during her final days. The staff provided loving care for her throughout her stay.
