Harvill
March 21, 1945 – April 9, 2026
Funeral services for Sarah Catherine Harvill will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery. Rev. Larry Wallace and Rev. Megan Reed will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Sarah Catherin Harvill was born in Georgiana, Alabama on March 21, 1945, to Luther and Lelia Harvill, one of three children. She began her career as an Operating Room Technologist and then moved on to being an Engineer for Parker Hannifin. An avid sportsman, Sarah's motto was always "I can fix it!"
She was loved by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, her church family, friends, and neighbors. Although born in Alabama, Sarah always felt like a true Mississippian.
Sarah precedes in death her beloved family members of Randy and Kim Harvill, her favorite nephew and wife, Shelby Harvill, sister-in-law, great nieces and nephews, Britt and Dan Kidd, and Justin Harvill. Great-great nieces and nephews include Evie, Isabel, and Lottie. She made sure each of them had their own pink B.B. gun as their first gift from Aunt Sarah. There were a host of other cousins.
Sarah was the best friend of Genette Hunt. They were companions for over 50 years. You didn't see one without the other. They made the dream of Sage Farms a reality. So many close friends such as William and Edna Barbara and Marty and so many others enriched Sarah's life, as much as she enriched theirs.
Sarah supported and protected her little church in the wildwood, Mt. Olive Methodist Church. As this world got scarier, she provided safety measures for all to feel welcome and secure. Sarah will certainly be missed here on this earth, but we know she is with our Lord and Savior and we will all be together again soon.
Memorials can be given to Mt. Olive Methodist, the Gideons, or your favorite charity.
