Funeral services for Mr. Sammy Keith Rushing will be on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxie, MS. Rev. Tyson Windom will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.

Mr. Rushing, 58, of Roxie, passed from this life on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Regional One Health in Memphis, TN. He was born on May 13, 1965 in Natchez, MS, to Howard Rushing and Myrtle Lou Sanford Rushing.

He loved to fish, hunt, and loved to coach softball.  He would light up the room when he walked in.  He also loved his grandchildren and going outside to be with them.  He never met a stranger.

Preceding him in death were his parents and father-in-law, Reggie Arnold.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Pam Rushing; sons, Hunter Rushing (Brooke) of Roxie, Tyler Rushing of Nashville, TN; daughters, Brooke Rushing (Brittany) of Brookhaven, Morgan Rushing of Roxie; sister, Cindy Tarver of Natchez; brothers, Kenny Rushing of Vidalia, LA, Mitchell Rushing of Natchez; grandchildren, Khloe Rushing, Journee Rushing, Aria Samantha Blake Rushing; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Kevin Arnold, Devin Arnold, Daniel Arnold, Taylor McMinn, Kelly King, Jay Davis, Ricky Wilson, and Barry LaPrarie.

Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Arnold, Trey Hannon, Trey Bailey, Michael Bonds, Maleek Dobbins, and Fred Coleman.
