Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Virginia Temple will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Jerry Carpenter will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2020, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Temple, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed from this life on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Lane Memorial Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.

Ruth was 84, born October 19,1935 to Henry Benjamin Castilaw and Willie Maude Castilaw. She was the most amazing woman in the world. She was loved by everyone she met but especially by her eight children who will miss her sweet smile and voice forever. Ruth was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She sacrificed greatly for them and they were the love of her life. She also had a great extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews that loved her and she loved all of them. She will be missed by all.

Ruth is survived by her eight children, Virginia Champagne (Julian), Roland Temple (Bernardine), Barbara Diane Sims, Dennis Eugene Temple, Carol Ann Temple, Linda Gail Temple (Martin), Henry Temple, Kathie Alimia (Tony) and a very special great grandson, Braden Temple.

Also, she is survived by her grandchildren, Alvin Temple (Lance), Michael Hudson, (Brandy), Eric Hudson (Brandi), Alisa Gandolfo (Glen), Devin Temple, Allison Latil (Jeremy), Adrian Mayo, Brynn Temple (Christian), Blake Temple, Casey Michelli (Caleb), Justin Alimia (Stacie) and Asia Alimia.

Also survived by her great grandchildren, Garrett, Raven, Sarah, Jaslyn, Sierra, Ryley, Cayden, Bentley, Dawson, Bryley, Cory, Leah, Junior, Nevaeh, Lucy, Ahren and Nylah.

Other survivors are a brother, R.L. Castilaw, (Leonie); sister, Dorothy Stafford (David) and a very special sister in law, Tennie Rae Castilaw; brother-in-law, Gerald Temple and Randy Dillon (Ann) and a sister-in-law, Sarah Ivy, along with many nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Preceded her in death are husband, Dennis R. Temple; parents, Willie Maude and Henry Benjamin Castilaw. A sister, Revia Bryant, her brother (Johnny) John Benny Castilaw (like a son).

You can now rest in heaven in the arms of our Lord. Just know that we love you and will see you in Heaven.
