Robert L. Calcote, 81, of Natchez, MS died Friday, September 7, 2012 at his residence in Natchez, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 from 1:00 P M until the time of services at 2:00 P M in the chapel at Franklin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Calcote was born January 30, 1931 in Franklin County. He was the son of Ernest and Estell Wood Calcote. He worked in the oil field industry as a rig operator. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Survivors are his son: Johnny Calcote and wife Annette of Morris, IL; daughter: Jo Ann Calcote Little and husband Marvin Jr. of Beaumont, TX; sister: Doris Tillotson and husband Venson of Natchez; brothers: B. L. Calcote and wife Louise of Natchez, and Charles Calcote and wife Beverly of Meadville; grandchild: Lisa Beazay; Great-grandchildren; Darrin Saenz and Virgil Saenz; and great-great grandchild: Brian Farnz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Freddie Calcote; and sister: Gladys Calcote Mitchell.
