Mr. Evans, 62, of Lucien, passed from this life on June 2, 2025. He was born in Brookhaven, MS on March 1, 1963 to John Richard Evans and Eva Lee Townsend Evans. Anthony was a devoted family man, possessed a passion for music of all genres, was a sports fanatic, and a friend to everyone he met. He spent much of his life in the grocery business, serving as market manager for several grocery stores across the region.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Richard and Eva Lee Evans. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Brister Evans; two daughters Amanda Evans (Joseph) and Anna Evans Atkinson (Chris); brothers Jody Evans (Tammie) and Jeff Evans (Beth); four grandchildren Isabella Ferguson Allen (Tyler), AvaLeigh and AJ Ingram, and Atleigh Atkinson; and one great-grandchild Adaline Blake Allen. He is also survived by four stepchildren April, Justin, Dustin (CeCe), and Jason (Hilie); as well as a host of step-grandchildren, a special sister-in-law Becky Moore (Kim) and numerous other family members that he was blessed to know and love through his union with Joyce.
