Mrs. Peggy Cothren, 81, was called home from this life on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Cothren was born February 14, 1934 to Mr. Lenox Seale and Mrs. Vera Bass Seale.
Visitation will be at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, MS on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and continue Thursday at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church from 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will follow in Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Elder Tom Griffin and Elder Luke Addison will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Cothren was a lifetime housewife that dedicated her life to her family and her church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and being surrounded by the people she loved.
Mrs. Cothren is preceded in death by her parents, Lenox Seale and Vera Bass Seale and husband, Alfred Cothren.
Survivors are daughters, Janice Wilson (Billy) and Sherrie McClatchy (Robert); sons, Mitch Cothren (Dina), Rex Cothren (Theresa) and Ronnie Cothren (Amy); sisters, Shirley Cupit, and Linda Moak (Cletus) along with a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Mac Cothren, Justin Thompson, Todd Thompson, Tanner Cothren, Lail Cothren, Joseph McClatchy, and Zack Cothren.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Cothren, David Cothren, Gary Cothren, and Elder David Cothren.
The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to Dr. Estes and all the staff at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Also to family and friends for the many prayers, kind words, encouragement and thoughts.
