Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Thornton will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Franklin

Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 2:30 PM, with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in

Meadville, MS. Rev. Travis Touchstone will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral

Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Tuesday,

October 25, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, October 26, 2022

from 1:30 PM until time of service at 2:30 PM.

Mrs. Thornton, 80, of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on October 24, 2022 at Franklin

Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS. She was born on December 26, 1941 in Adams County, MS

to Mr. Samuel Earnest Arnold and Mrs. Pernie Elizabeth Freeman Arnold.

She enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking for everyone, hunting and fishing with her siblings,

and spending time with her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were parents, Samuel Ernest and Pernie Arnold; son, Herbert Noel

"Bubbie" Thornton, Jr.; sisters, Ernestine Cater, Christine Arnold, Eddie V. Myers; brothers, B.J.

Arnold, Robert Arnold, Rodney Arnold, June Arnold, R.B. Arnold, and Roddis Arnold.

Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Herbert Thornton; sons, Larry Thornton and wife Julie of

Ringgold, GA, Gary Thornton and wife Angela of Brookhaven, MS; brother, Roger Dale Arnold

and wife Sarah of Smithdale, MS; grandchildren, Cassie, Burt, Krystle, Garrett (Rachel), Travis,

Olivia, Zach; great grandchildren, Bella, Elyse, Addie Grace, Colt, and Bryson due in December,

along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers are Earnest Arnold III, Samuel Arnold, Randy Arnold, Carol James Cater, Jerry Ivey,

Bobby McCartney, and Robert Lynn Thornton.

Honorary pallbearers are Allen Arnold, Vernon Arnold, James McCartney, Rayford Miller and

Dalton Wayne Summerall.

Special honorary pallbearers are Burt Thornton, Garrett Thornton, Travis Thornton, and Zach

Thornton.

The family request memorial donations be sent to the Midway Cemetery in Meadville.
