Paul Everett Shelley, Sr., 85, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the home of Sue Mann in Roxie, MS. Burial will follow in the Roxie City Cemetery. Bro. Tyson Windom will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers are: James Shelley, Michael Shelley, James McNutt, Jake Hawley, Kendall Shelley, and Andy Shelley.
Mr. Shelley was born October 25, 1928 in Thomastown, MS to Johnny Snow and Mary Frazier Shelley. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a retired self-employed carpenter. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson: Eric Vance Kelly; sister: Elizabeth Ann Shelley; and brother: J W Shelley.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years: Mary Woodyear Shelley of Roxie, MS; daughters: Sue Mann of Roxie, MS, and Lavelle Granger and husband Billy of Tylertown, MS; sons: Paul E. Shelley, Jr. and wife Gwen of Pearl, MS, Michael Shelley and wife Lisa of Smithdale, MS, and Kendall Shelley and wife Katrina of Roxie, MS; brother: Larry Shelley of Florence, MS; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
