Funeral services for Mr. Norman Jones, Sr. will be on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Concord Baptist Church in McCall Creek, MS at 4:00 PM, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Bro. Lance Moak will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Concord Baptist Church on Saturday from 2:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM.

Mr. Jones, 79 of McCall Creek, MS passed from this life on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Meadville, MS with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 14, 1940 in Brookhaven, MS, to Mr. Ernest M. Jones Sr. and Mrs. Mary Jetmore Jones.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming, animals, and doing maintenance on his old home place on the creek. He enjoyed all of God's creation. He loved his God, his family, his country and all his faithful friends. He served our country in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church where he faithfully served on several committees.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, infant Betty Lou Jones; two brothers, Ernest M. Jones Jr. and Edward Jones.

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Bea Jones of Meadville, MS; daughter, Joddie Spring and husband Harold of Meadville, MS; son, Norman Jones, Jr. and wife Ronnie of Summit, MS; four grandchildren, Clark Ray Jones and wife Amy of Summit, MS, Deidra Lofton and husband Josh of Summit, MS, JoBea Magee and husband Matt of Meadville, MS, Madge Walker and husband Justin of Meadville, MS; great grandchildren, Sadie G. Coley, Penelope Walker, Harper Hale and baby Lofton, due in September; one brother, Bobby Joe Jones and wife Versie of Baker, LA and one sister, Joyce Byrd and the late Jerry Byrd of Liberty, MS.

Pallbearers are, Matt Magee, Justin Walker, Harold Spring, Gary Forman, Eddie Forman, Pat O'Quinn, and David "Taco" Garza.

Honorary pallbearers are all his Masonic Lodge Brothers.
