Mary Evelyn Steele was born 8/5/1933 in Cleveland, MS to Joseph and Courtney Brister. Graduated from Ruth High School in 1954 and married Jasper Roddis Steele and had two children Judy Steele Sullivan and Nolan Darrell Steele.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters, her husband, Rod and grandson Jasper Ryan Steele.

She is survived by her sister, Wessie Brister Temple of Liberty, Kenneth Brister and wife Eloise of Bogue Chitto; her two children Judy Sullivan of Meadville and Darrell and wife Tina Steele of Bogue Chitto. She was a loving Meme to grandchildren Vista Sullivan Herring (Brett) of Meadville, Monica Steele of Bogue Chitto, Kayla Sullivan Fisher (Brian) of Natchez, Jasmine Sullivan Wilson (Brett) of Madison;  Great Grandchildren are Braylei Steele, Macey Steele, Koleymn Grace Fisher, Charlie Herring, Wells Herring, Gray Wilson and Beau Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Vicki Middleton, Sally Wallace and the staff of FCMH for their love and care.
