Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Sister" Lehmann, 91, was called home from this life on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez in Natchez, MS. Mrs. Mary was born December 29, 1924 to Mr. E. M. Laird and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Laird.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 5 PM till 8 PM and continue at Franklin Funeral Home, Thursday June 30, from 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will follow in Greendale United Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Milton Whatley will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

"Sister" was a lifelong homemaker and faithful wife to her husband of 72 years, Carl Ray Lehmann. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved cooking, shopping, swimming, and spending time with her family. She was an excellent marksman, and loved animals. She especially loved her dog, Missy. She was known as a proven handy-man, capable of tackling any challenge presented to her.

"Sister" preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Ray Lehmann; daughter Sherry Peeples; grandson Jamie Webb; great-grandchild Maxie Webb.

Survivors are daughters Beverly Hall (Malcolm), Carla McLemore and a son, Len Lehmann (Angie), and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Daron Webb, Casey Novak, Justin Martin, Yancey Lehmann, Austin Weeks, Max Knapp and Ryan Webb.

Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Freeman, Ike Hall, William David "Clutch" Aldridge, John Daniels, and Adrian McCaa.
