Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Viola McClure will be on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Mike Walker, Bro. Bobby White and Bro. Bruce White will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Mary Viola McClure, 88, passed from this life on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Franklin Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 23, 1932 in Franklin County to Johnnie Jones, Sr. and Eunice Cater Jones.
She enjoyed cooking, canning, and playing games. Her greatest blessings were to return to her family home, spending the last 21 years with her baby brother, and spending the last month of her life with her "five babies".
Preceding her in death were her parents, Johnnie Jones, Sr. and Eunice Cater Jones: Husbands, Jimmy H. White, Phares Bennett, and Juan McClure along with sister Louisa Huffman.
Survivors are her daughters, Janice Herrington and husband, Cecil, of West Monroe, LA, Brenda Welch and husband, Mike, of Mendenhall, Wanda Walker and husband, Mike, of Taylorsville, MS; sons, Jimmy Bruce White and wife, Rebecca, of Germany, Bobby Joe White and wife, Debbie, of Tyler, TX; brother, Johnnie Jones, Jr. of Meadville; sisters, Lottie Bell Emfinger of Meadville, Ollie Mae Youngblood of Meadville; 36 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Tim Herrington, David Welch, Jeffery White, Joseph Walker, Bill Arnold, and Randy Youngblood.
Honorary pallbearers are her nephews.
The family request memorials be made in her name to: Sarepta Baptist Church Cemetery fund or charity of your choice.
