Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Smith will be on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at  Bude Church of God in Bude, MS at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Will Lott will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM.

On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Mary Edna Smith (Dink) a loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 63.

Dink was born on March 4, 1957 to Claude and Marie Griffin in Meadville, MS.

In February of 1983, she married the love of her life, Lewis Smith.  They had two sons; Lance Smith of Meadville, Stuart Smith and Wife Allison of Arkansas; one daughter, Chera Smith of Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Drews, Brandon, Savannah, Angel, Pete, Jamen, Emma, and Cameron; three great grandkids, Cahnon, Brecken, Kaleb; three sisters, Dianne Smith and husband Jim of Roxie, Jan Smith and husband Tony of Meadville, and Toni Murray and husband Stanley of Monterey, LA.  She also has a number of nieces and nephews.

Dink was preceded in death by her father, Claude Griffin, her mother, Marie Griffin; two brothers, Claude Griffin, Jr, Whitlock Griffin; and also a nephew, Travis Smith.
