Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Emfinger will be on Monday, November 22, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Rev. Calvin Wactor will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at New Hope Baptist Church on Monday, November 22 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM.
Mrs. Emfinger, 91, of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1930 in Franklin County to Mr. Dunk Zumbro and Mrs. Rosalie Bonds Zumbro.
She was a longtime, dedicated member of New Hope Baptist Church where she faithfully attended. She loved to garden and take care of her flower plants. She loved cooking and was well known for her dishes at all the church dinner on the grounds. She deeply loved her family and cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Dunk and Rosalie Zumbro; husband, Edward Emfinger; brothers, Perry Zumbro and Howard Zumbro.
Survivors are her daughter, Teresa Sullivan of Meadville; sister, Susan Pearl McFarland of Meadville; brother Hilton Rayford Zumbro of Meadville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Iles and husband Josh of Brookhaven, MS, Grant Sullivan of Meadville, MS; great-grandchildren, Ian Iles, Isaac Iles, Isabella Iles, Bryden Sullivan, Waylon Sullivan and Ripp Sullivan along with a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Brad Fondren, Greg Fondren, Bryan McFarland, Evan Newell, Bo McMillian and Wimpy Wentworth.
Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Goodson, Phillip Zumbro, Wesley Ratcliff, M.L. Bonds, Jimmy Brown, Johnnie Bruce Partridge, Harold Wentworth, and Pat Sullivan.
