Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Causey will be on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Leon Wallace will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume at Siloam Baptist Church on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
Mrs. Causey, 63, of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 24, 1954 in Meadville, MS, to Walter Glen Whittington and Mrs. Mildred Bilbo Whittington.
Margaret was a longtime and faithful member of Siloam Baptist Church where she served as
Vacation Bible School Director, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, hostess committee, and many other roles. She loved to travel, read, and spend time with her grandchildren. She served the children of Franklin County Schools for 34 ½ years prior to retirement and presently was serving as assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Meadville, secretary for Sixtown Water Association, and Franklin County Promotions. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter Glen Whittington and Mrs. Mildred Bilbo Whittington.
Survivors are her husband of 41 years, Roger Causey; daughter, Brandi Harrod and husband James of Summit, MS; son Stephen Causey and wife Jennifer of Meadville; grandchildren, Scott Causey and Roman Harrod; niece, Amanda Dillon of Meadville; sisters, Ann Dillon and husband Randy of Meadville, Lenora Whittington of Meadville, Maggie Whittington of Meadville, and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are James Newman, Preston Gallup, Bill Martin, Tracy Martin, Daryl Redditt, Bodi Bass, Lee Turner, and Gordon Dover.
The family request memorials be made in her name to: Siloam Baptist Church 8031 Hwy. 98 East, Meadville, MS 39653.
