Funeral services for Lovedee Marie Fonseca Laiche will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, MS at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Tony Mullins will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Lovedee Marie Fonseca Laiche, 90, passed from this life on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Silver Cross Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 5, 1936 in Houma, LA to Mr. John Jackson Fonseca and Mrs. Hazel Mae DeRoche Fonseca, and was a resident of Hazlehurst, MS.

She enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved vegetable gardening and crocheting. Most of all, she just loved spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Conner Reese Laiche; brothers John Joseph Fonseca, Allen Fonseca; sister, Betty Jean Guillory; and one grandchild.

Survivors are her sons, Tony Laiche (Sonja), Terry Laiche (Angie), Steven Laiche; daughter, Holyn Laiche Davis (Larry); brother, James Fonseca; sister, Alice Leleux; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Andrew Parker, Steven Laiche, Jr., Seth Davis, Zachary Franklin, David Izard, and Terry Laiche.

Honorary Pallbearers are Kipper Franklin, Travis Smith, Becklan Wayne Smith, and Steven Z. Laiche.

The family request memorials be made in her name to Bethel Cemetery Fund.
