Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Matthews will be on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church Bude at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS.  Rev. Webb Armstrong, Bro. Tyson Windom and Rev. Rodney Jones will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church Bude on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Matthews, 70, of Bude, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. She was born in Meadville, MS on February 28, 1951 to Mr. Duane Clements and Mrs. Petty McCrory Clements.

She retired after 44 years of service at Larkin's Clinic in Bude, MS where she compassionately ministered to the needs of all that came to visit. She and her husband are lifelong members of First Baptist Church Bude where she faithfully attended and served in many positions.  She loved and cared for all people, especially her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Duane and Petty Clements.

Survivors are her husband of 52 years, P.L. Matthews; son, Dustin Matthews and wife April of Brookhaven; sister, Brenda Van Norman and husband Kevin of Meadville, MS; and 3 Grandchildren, Avery, Andrew, and Thomas Matthews.

Pallbearers are Yancey Wentworth, Noah McCormick, Scott Campbell, Barry Tyson, Bart Jones, Thomas Hutto and Tanner Van Norman.

Honorary pallbearers are Donald Ezell, Hunter Ezell, Dr. W.B. Larkin, Terry Hammack, Mike Priest and Johnny Wayne Dillon.
