Mrs. Linda Kent, 70, was called into the presence of the Lord on October 23, 2015, at her residence in Bude, MS. Mrs. Kent was born at Natchez, MS, August 11, 1945, to Mr. Billy Myers and Mrs. Molly Evelyn Jones Myers.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM and continue at First Baptist Church in Bude, MS on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 1:00 PM till time of service at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery at Bude, MS. Rev. Mike Morris will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Linda was a retired Bank of Franklin employee, having spent thirty seven years greeting people with her pleasant smile and helpful attitude. She loved to work in her yard and care for people in need. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a friend to many.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Myers and Molly Evelyn Jones Myers; husband, Carl Kent; brother, William Eugene Myers; sister Diane Sullivan; maternal grandparents Paul and Clara Jones; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jep Myers.

Survivors are son, Anthony (Poochie) Kent and brother, Charles Myers along with a special little sister, Paula Dillon.

Pallbearers are Brad Jones, Glen Zumbro, Carl Cupit, Mike Priest, Chris Calcote and Gary Buckels.
