Mrs. Lillian Hayes, 89, of Meadville, MS passed from this life on Saturday, January 27, 2024. She was born on August 4, 1934 in Wisner, LA to Homer Hodges and Ruth Hodges.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home, Meadville, MS from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on January 30.  Graveside services for Lillian will be on January 31 at 1:00 PM at Oakley Cemetery, Gilbert, LA.

Lillian was a resident of Meadville for 53 years.  She was a home maker, beloved, wife, grandmother and great grandmother.  She worked at the Movie Star garment plant, as a supervisor for 10 years.  She loved sewing and working her crossword puzzles.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 75 years, Curtley Hayes; her parents Homer Hodges and Ruth Hodges; her sisters, Irene Parker and Shirley Looper.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Connie Day of Winnsboro, LA, her son Curtley (Bozo) Hayes (Barbara) of Summit, MS.  Six grandchildren: Jennifer Binns (Freddie), George Hayes (Marnie), Summer Fife (Chris), Drew Williams (Monique), AnneMarie Harper (Travis), and James Crumby.  Eight great grandchildren: Abbi Grace, Lindsay, Colin, Isabella, Lilly Easter, Shelton, Jace and Ashton.

Pallbearers are George Hayes, Drew Williams, Chris Fife, Freddie Binns, John Looper, and Chuck Smith.
