Mrs. Letha Simpson was called into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Simpson was born September 11, 1926 at Ferriday, LA to John Holland and Daisy Kimble Holland. She resided at Meadville Convalescent Home and was a member of the Praise Cathedral in Meadville, MS. She was retired from Ellzey Marine Supply in Venice, LA.
Visitation will be at Praise Cathedral in Meadville, MS, on Monday February 23, 2015 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. The graveside service will follow in the Byrd's Chapel Church of God Cemetery in the Berrytown community. Rev. Lee Miley will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Simpson was active in all activities at Meadville Convalescent Home where she loved to bring joy to all her friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Helen Cooper, Velma Gaudet and brother, John Holland Jr.
Survivors are daughters, Anita Ferguson and husband Donald of Meadville, Wendy Simpson; son, John Simpson of New Iberia, LA; sister, Viola Fitzgerald of Denham Springs, LA: brother, Gerald Holland of Olive Branch, MS; seven grand-children and ten great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a very special friend, Tish Simpson.
Pallbearers are Lee Ferguson, John Ferguson, John M. Simpson, Michael Robinson, Tucker Elkins, and Stanley Gaudet.
