Memorial services for Mr. Leonard Dale Prather Sr. will be on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM  at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS.

Mr. Prather, 83, of Roxie, MS passed from this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Grace Nursing Home in Slaughter, LA. He was born on May 25, 1939 to Doc Prather Jr. and Nell Steflik Prather.

Mr. Prather served our country in the United States Army. He was a retired paper printer. He was a very kind hearted and compassionate man that gave generously to multiple charities and helped finance the needs of many people. He was a loving father and grandfather that loved his family and left his mark on many people.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Doc and Nell Prather and brothers, William E. "Bill" Prather and Lloyd Prather.

Survivors are his daughter, Lana Prather and husband, Ernie Hillebrandt of Lafayette, LA; son, Leonard Dale Prather Jr., Cheryl and Landon of Baton Rouge; grandson, Hudson Hillebrandt; sister, Carolyn Ann Prather Lazarus of Natchez, MS and the mother of his children, Joyce Sibley and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

All family and friends are invited to be a part of this visitation and memorial service.
