Funeral services for Lenora Whittington of Meadville, MS will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville, MS at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Siloam Baptist Church from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday, May 6, from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM. Rev. Leon Wallace will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Lenora Whittington, born to Glen and Mildred Whittington on July 15, 1961, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the age of 63.

She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School with her sister Ann Dillon.  Devoting herself to serving those in need, she offered a hand up not a handout.

She retired from Weyerhaeuser after 37 years, working her way from a young sawfiler to a unit manager.  She helped design and implement a safety program used by the entire company to this day, because people always came first.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Whittington, her father Glen Whittington, and her sister Margaret Whittington Causey. She was also preceded by her fur children, Casey and Pearl.

She is survived by her sister, Ann Dillon (Randy), her sister Maggie Whittington (Janet), her nieces Brandi Harrod (James) and Amanda Dillon, her nephew Stephen Causey (Jennifer), as well as her great nephews Scott Causey, Roman Harrod and Asher Harrod. Additionally, she is survived by her brother-in-law, Roger Causey (Kay).

She is also survived by her "adopted" family, Michelle Vinson, Darlene Davis, Janice Vinson, Sharon Taylor (Bill), Mary Margaret Pace (Kyle) and Oscar.

She will be missed by many and we pray that those who knew her will see the best in people, have a heart like hers that always forgives, and a soul that never loses faith in God.
