Kirby Everett Carlock's Obituary
Kirby Everett Carlock, 86, of Natchez, MS, passed from this life on Friday, November 13, 2015, at Merit Health Systems in Natchez, MS. Mr. Carlock was born February 8, 1929, in Franklin County, MS to Hiram (Sr.) and Irene Rollins Carlock.
Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Franklin Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow in Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Jeff Brewer will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Carlock was a retired machinist from International Paper Company in Natchez, MS. He served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed to carry his grandchildren deer hunting. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez, MS. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hiram (Sr.) and Irene Rollins Carlock; brothers, Hiram Carlock, Jr. and Marvin Carlock; sisters, Maudie Golman and Ruth Hester; grandson, Mike Buckles; and son-in-law, Billy Smith.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Jewel Emfinger Carlock of Natchez, MS; daughters, Patsy Hester, Diane Buckles and Judy Smith all of Natchez, MS; brother, Rufus Carlock and wife Madelyn of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Russ Smith and wife Kellie, Kimberly Smith Gray and husband Calvin, Ben Buckles and Kristi Buckles; great grandchildren, Chase and Cameron Buckles, Jonathan Gray, Brianna Gray and Samantha Smith; great, great grandchild, Brantley; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Ray Carlock, Russ Smith, Calvin Gray, Chase Buckles, Jonathan Grey and Jason Carlock.
The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to staffs of Merit Health Systems, Dr. Daly and staff, and Hospice Compassus.
