Funeral services for Mr. Kevin "Monkey" Davis will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at New Salem Baptist Church in McCall Creek, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Jim Kultau will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at New Salem Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at New Salem Baptist Church on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Mr. Davis, 42, of McCall Creek, MS, passed from this life on Monday, August 21, 2017, at University Medical Service in Jackson, MS, with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 8, 1974, in Bossier City, LA, to James and Beverly Cupit. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church; worked for many years as a self-employed painter and also worked in the oil field; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children, nieces, and nephews. He was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his father, James Cupit; and nephew, Allen Martin.

Survivors are his wife of 16 years, Dana Martin Davis; son, Aaron Davis of McCall Creek, MS; daughter, Haley Davis of McCall Creek, MS; mother, Beverly Cupit of McCall Creek, MS; brothers, James Cupit, Jr. of Jayess, MS; sisters, Beverly Dana Davis of McCall Creek, MS, Renee Cupit Hanks and husband, T C of Summit, MS, Diane Davis of McCall Creek, MS, and Kimberly Davis Dawkins and husband, Paul of Panama City, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
