Funeral services for Mrs. Julia S. Beard will be on Monday, January 24, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Bude, MS at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Bro. Tyson Windom and Elder Tom Griffin will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Bude on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Julia S. Beard, 58, of Bude, passed from this life on Friday, January 21, 2022, at her residence. She was born on December 7, 1963 in Fayetteville, NC, to Andrew Dalton Smith and Pearl Lee Middleton Smith.

She enjoyed camping, dancing, and spending time with her animals. She enjoyed being a mate to her husband and supporting his volunteering with the fire department. She loved her work along with the people she worked with and customers that she served. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Evelyn Hodges; and brothers, Edgar Smith, Ty Smith.

Survivors are her husband of 35 years, Raymond Beard; sister, Paula Granger and husband, Bobby, of Vidor, TX; brother-in-laws, Robert Beard of Lufkin, TX, Clifford Beard and wife, Ellie, Eugene, OR, DeWayne Pullin of Crawford, TX, Lester Proctor, Jr. of Salt Lake, UT; nephews, Kenny Hodges and Benjamin Hodges of Crystal Springs, Baron and BJ Granger of Beaumont, TX, and a host of family and friends.
