Johnnie Richard Ezell, 100 of Meadville, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his residence in Meadville, MS with his family by his side. Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM at Bude Church of God. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Jerry Sullivan, Rev. Daniel Smith and Rev. George Guy will officiate the services. Franklin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers were Ryan Holland, Paxton Foster, Matt Foster, Brad Foster, Chase Stein and Cory Stein.

He was born in Meadville, MS on November 10, 1913 to Henry and Elizabeth Jones Ezell. He was of the Church of God faith. He served in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is preceded in death by parents, Henry and Elizabeth Jones Ezell; second special mother, Addie Huffman Ezell; wife, Mattie Touchstone Holland Ezell; special grandson, Jerry Wayne Holland; special great grandson, Thomas Richard Holland; brothers, William, Archie, Lloyd, Erwin, Pinkey, and Robert Ezell; sisters, Versie Manesko, Bernie Wilson, Ada Travis, Ida Wallace and Annie "Ann" Pepper; and 5 infant siblings.

He is survived by his step-son, Jerry Holland and wife Mary "Sis"; grandchildren, Mellody Holland Stein and husband Bill, Greg Holland and wife Dana, and Tanya Holland Foster and husband Brad; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great, great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Ezell; sisters, Clara Jackson and Rosie Forrest; sister-in-law, Jewel Ezell; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
