John D. "Danny" Dillon , 62 , of Meadville, MS , passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Siloam Baptist Church and continue on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM at Siloam Baptist Church . The graveside service will follow in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery . Rev. Leon Wallace and Rev. Marvin Howard will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are Keith Wood, Matthew Wood, Marcus Wood, Will Halford, Chris Ivy and Wyatt Swanson. Honorary pallbearers are David A "Bubba" Ivy and Will Causey.

Mr. Dillon was born January 4, 1952 in Meadville, MS to John D. Dillon and Mary Lee Dillon Temple . He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church . He was a retired Salad Chef where he worked for many years at the Holiday Inn in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a loving brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. Dillon and Mary Lee Dillon Temple; sister, Barbara Kendeigh; brothers, Jack Murray, and Thomas Dillon; brother-in-law, David Ivy; step-brother, Arthur Virgil Temple; and step-sister, Betty Temple Baswell .

Survivors are his sister, Sarah Dillon Ivy of St. Francisville, LA; brother, Randy Dillon and wife Ann of Meadville, MS; sister-in-law, Wilma Murray of Mangam, LA; brother-in-law, Gerald Kendeigh of Jayess, MS; step-brothers, Dennis Temple, Gerald Temple, Alton Temple; step-sister, Tennie Rae Castilaw; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
