John R. Delaney, Sr. of Meadville, MS, passed away on February 22, 2025.  John was a member of Sarepta Baptist Church and was known for his kind heart. John built a fulfilling career in the oil and natural gas industry that took him and his family across the United States.  No matter where life took them, John kept his family united, always ensuring they felt connected and supported no matter where life took them.

He found joy in his work and hobbies, but his greatest love was always his family. A devoted husband and father, John's legacy is one of love, resilience and strength.  His life and actions have left a lasting impact on his many loved family and friends.

He is survived by his two children and many cherished family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Delaney.

A celebration of John's life will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sarepta Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. John's spirit and boundless love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
