Funeral services for Mr. Joe Frost will be on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Bude Baptist Church in Bude, MS at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Williamsburg United Methodist Church Cemetery in Williamsburg, MS. Rev. Rodney Jones will officiate the services with Franklin Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Frost, 88, of Bude, MS passed from this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 27, 1928 in Williamsburg, MS, to Mr. E. E. and Mrs. I. D. Frost.

Mr. Frost grew up in Williamsburg, MS and moved to Meadville, MS in 1960. He was employed by Franklin Telephone Company for more than 35 years as plant manager and later as General Manager. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and a member of the 349th Infantry Reg. 88th Division Blue Devils. He was one of the few survivors of the Massacre Valley Battle during the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. Edward Eugene (Jack) and Mrs. I.D. Yates Frost; one infant son, Donnie; brothers, Franklin Frost and Horace Kay Frost; sister, Katie Morris and husband Perry; and grandson, John Connor Waycaster.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Frost of Bude, MS; daughters, Angela Reid and husband Colin of Madisonville, LA, Anita Case and husband Bob of Brookhaven, MS, and JoAnn Allred Waycaster and husband Todd of Natchez, MS; sister, Jaqueline Frost Tisdale and husband Jim of Starkville, MS; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Special love and thanks to Barry Tyson and Trey Hill, whom he considered his sons.

Pallbearers are Tim Dillon, Mike Nash,Gordon Murray, Glen Richardson, Denny Goodson, and Wesley Ratcliff.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Creekmore, Wade Creekmore, Tim Hill, Trey Hill, Dr. Bo Gabbert, Dr. Bill Larkin, Dr. Coley Ratcliff and all employees of Franklin Telephone Company.
