Funeral services for Jodie Mae Cloy will be on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Meadville, MS, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Tom Griffin will be officiating the services with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Thursday, July 13, 2017, from10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Mrs. Cloy, 82, passed from this life on Monday, July 10, 2017, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 1, 1935 in Mississippi to Hoyt and Gussie Westbrook Wroten. She was a homemaker; was a member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church; and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Hoyt and Gussie Westbrook Wroten; husband, W T Cloy; sons, Thomas Cloy and Bobby Cloy; daughter, JoAnn Cloy Wallace; granddaughter, Cindy Cloy; 7 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Survivors are her son, David Cloy and wife Tanya of Smithdale, MS; daughter-in-law, Christine Freeman Cloy of Wesson, MS; son-in-law, Phillip Wallace of Meadville, MS; grandchildren, Crystal Cloy Willson and husband Tony, Festus Wallace and wife Tammy, Travis Cloy and wife Jenny, Dustie Wallace Petty and husband Kenneth, Lacey Wallace Powe and husband Brian, Cody Cloy and wife Tracy, and Kayla Cloy Anding and husband Ty; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Maurine Wroten Freeman and Evelyn Wroten Waller; brother, Howard Wroten; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers Festus Wallace, Travis Cloy, Cody Cloy, Kenneth Petty, Travis Powe and Ty Anding.
