Mrs. Joan Scott, 66, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Mrs. Scott was born in McComb, MS to Mr. Robert Whitehead and Mrs. Lorraine Deer Whitehead.

Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. The graveside service will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in the Pleasant Valley Community. Rev. Mike Morris and Rev. Harold Anderson will be officiating the services.

Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Scott was a home maker that lovingly dedicated her life to her husband and raising her children and grand-children in a Christian environment. She loved the Lord and used her God given talents to work with children and adults. She loved teaching Bible Study and Sunday School.

Mrs. Scott is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Lorraine Whitehead and husband, Robert (Bob) Scott.

Survivors are sons; Tyler Scott and wife, Glenda of "Scott Holler", and Darby Scott and wife Nicole of Pleasant Valley; daughter, Jessica Curtis and husband Marvin of Brookhaven; brother, Clark Whitehead and wife Jan of Summit, MS; grandchildren, Jordan, Regan, Morgan, Lauran, Briar, Cameron, and Cade, and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Tyler Scott, Darby Scott, Brandon Mclemore, Marvin E. Curtis Jr., Timmy Price, and Corey Whitehead.

Honorary Pallbearers are Briar Scott, Cameron Bradley, and Cade Bradley.
