Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Odell Bedford, 86, of Roxie, MS will be on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, MS at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the Midway Cemetery in Meadville, MS. Rev. Will Lott will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Franklin Funeral Home on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Bedford, passed from this life on December 14, 2018. He was born on January 21, 1932 in Roxie, MS to Mr. Howell Norman Bedford and Mrs. Lucretia Wactor Bedford.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a retired from International Paper Company in Natchez, MS as an Electronic Instrument Repairman. He was known as a kind and gentle man that always had the time to stop, speak, and spend a few minutes in conversation.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Howell Norman Bedford and Lucretia Wactor Bedford; wife, Sylvia Lavone Bedford; son Dale Bedford; four sisters, Maude Lusk, Irene Emfinger, Myrtis Oglesby, May Bilbo Bedford; five brothers, Willie Bedford, George Bedford, J.C. Bedford, Robert Bedford and Jasper Bedford.

Survivors are his daughter, Debra Holmes of Meadville, MS; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
