Funeral services for Mr. Jasper Ed. Watts will be on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Mary Springs Church of God of Prophecy in Busy Corner, MS at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Watts Family Cemetery in Yap, MS. Rev. Danny Cook will be officiating the services, with Franklin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Mary Springs Church on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM.
Mr. Watts, passed from this life on January 17, 2017 at his residence in Yap with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 20, 1926 in Franklin County, MS, to Mr. Houston Watts and Mrs. Velma Arnold Watts.
He was retired from the Georgia Pacific Plywood mill in Gloster, MS. He was known as a hard worker that loved his family deeply. He never met a stranger and was always friendly to everyone he met.
Preceding him in death were his parents Houston Watts and Velma Arnold Watts; son, James McVernon; sisters, Evelyn Roberts, Elain Barksdale; brothers, James Houston Watts Jr., Mack Watts and son in law, Wayne Allbritton.
Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Mrs. Addie "Levelle" Watts; daughter, Mary "Judy" Allbitton; sons, Thomas Watts, Danny Watts, Derane Watts; brothers, Albert "Fuzz" Watts, Glen Dick Watts; sister, Doris Wilks; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.
